best ever.

Years back I worked in a restaurant with a reputation that landed it spots in fancy food magazines and the chef interviews with foodies on public radio.   My role was manager, but depending on the day the duties varied wildly.  One afternoon photographers were soon to arrive to shoot a scrumptious plate of lamb chops marinated in pomegranate molasses.  The garnet jewels of the fruit looked striking in a green bowl, so I was sent out to purchase similar green plates.  As soon as the photographer appeared, he blanched at the sight of the green plate.  "Green tableware makes all food look gray and boring...," uttered as if these two words were poison.
Brownie I often think of that afternoon as I place various foodstuffs on the plates of many shades of green that nestle in my cupboards.   Some days it seems that the photographer is right, but today this definitely is not the case.  I've tasted Molly's brownies and to know how they make my taste buds sing with their divine velvety richness, well, there's no way I could look at a plate of any color with one of these delights perched atop and think about anything beyond taking another bite.  Indeed, these are the best brownies ever
