new years realization

2157305348_5d0ea68f3a
This time of year one is able to experience places that are typically inaccessible to the ordinary traveler.  Out on the lake.  Over the rushing water of the river.  In the middle of the marsh.  Above the crashing waves.

I quite like the perspective that comes seeing a place from a different angle, through a different lens.  It gives me confidence that that which doesn't seem possible can actually be realized.   A good realization for the start of a new year.

May you find places and see you things you never thought possible in the new year.  And, may the dreams you haven't yet had come true.

Beatutiful, thoughtful post...Wishing you & yours love, blessings, peace and JOY in 2008! :o)

i always love your ice photos, sarah. but these. the one above the crashing waves. love. and yes, things we never thought possible. yes.

it reminds me of the song "lansing" i can't remember who it is by, but one of the lines goes something like "looking in the rearview down one way streets, to get a perspective that different to me..."
looking at the normal in a new way is always good.

here is to a magical 08!

now is when i start to get tingly with anticipation for my trip to Lake Superior in March. It was all fueled by that very first photo of you and the glaciers!! Thank you, thank you and thank you again!! I'll be asking for suggestions of things i can't leave without seeing...Happy New Year!!

what beautiful words. thank you.
