smattering

Icicle
There's not much focus to be had around here these days.  A stomach flu swept in on early Thursday, and seems to have taken root.  I have yet to actually experience the symptoms firsthand, but have been covered in them repeatedly over the last few days.  Nice.  Four loads of laundry a day nice.  Six pairs of pyjamas and three sets of sheets in one night nice.

I've been able to sneak bits of respite here and there.
Gocco
Trimming and packaging of the prints for the gocco swap.
Stranded
Practicing knitting with two colors, one in each hand.

Tonight fresh snow is falling.  Tomorrow is a new day.  I so hope it's one where food stays in the belly of the babe.

Oh my! Oh I hate stomach bugs! Don't you just love that adrenaline driven rush from your bed to theirs? My girls have a signaling cough that gives about about a 2 second warning. Do you get any clue before the fount begins?

I am sending good thoughts your way, and hoping your laundry is magically fluffed and folded for you!

Hi Sarah,

So sorry the flu has persisted. She must be very uncomfortable. Glad you have found time to give yourself some creative moments in the midst of it all.

As for me, I have your blog up, while listening to a Prairie Home Companion and knitting a new sweater for 1 year old Torin.

Makes me feel a bit connected to you even though we were unable to visit this weekend.

Love,
E

there is nothing worse than a stomach bug! hope everyone is feeling better today and that you avoid it. happy sunday.

love that icicle shot! Here's to a healthier family soon!

So sorry you're under the weather there...hope everyone is feeling better again soon! Great icicle photo! Your knitting looks lovely--I like you yarn color choices. Happy week :o)

Oh, it is hard when there is illness around. We must have been goccoing in tandem this weekend though! I finished mine. Only a week late. Not so bad.

I like how all three photos have a general blue-ness to them. From what I can see, the gocco prints look like great! Good luck fighting off that flu...

love the picture of the ice...
and hope that everyone is well soon...

Hope everyone feels better soon, the knitting looks beautiful.

Oh poor baby! I hope that she is feeling better.

Oh, oh, I'm so sorry to hear about all that sickness! Here's sending good feelings thoughts and some sunshine!

(I'm also glad to see you're still working on the gocco... me too. Alas, alack, me too.)

Ugh. I've so been there (not too long ago...) with being covered in the results of the stomach flu. Poor little one. And poor mama!
