
The snow melted. The ice did too. Crocus and snowdrops are doing their thing. Robins are singing and collecting nest building bits. The ground has thawed enough for the turning of soil in our corner of the community garden.
In the past few weeks we've celebrated birthdays. Decorated eggs. Traveled to the island. Surprised my mother. Enjoyed family and the ocean. Baked cakes, churned ice cream. Endured all sorts of sickness and airport delays. Made it home. Returned to work. Buckled down. Played hooky.
It's been a whirlwind. I feel like I'm far from catching up, from truly catching my breath. But slowly I'm finding a bit more rhythm in a life that seems to have no predictable tempo.
I wanted to say hello. I've missed being here.
